I do not know about you but every time my thoughts intrude or captivated by a topic then no matter where I am, what I'm doing, which in turn, look, etc, etc, Not only come to mind regularly, but I think also many memories that push the forefront of my thoughts. I would describe as "possessing a idea. "And it usually stays at the forefront of my thoughts until I succeed in making up the bed or something else catches my attention.
The Most of the time when this concept of ownership of an idea to an audience I'm looking to bring home a specific point about what can happen when staff an organization takes over the mission, vision, philosophy or marketing (ie mission becomes personal and / or customer-centric). However, today I'm more interested in exploring where my head is and I suspect that some of the thoughts of others are as well today and that is productivity.
Perhaps you have observed the issue of productivity in several of my recent writings. I think he honestly reached between us that has no further information on our plate than we can say about grace? And what organization is not feasible to search for creative ways to increase productivity (increase revenues while limiting or even reducing costs)? So find ways to improve productivity is as universal as anything else that exists today. And because I have taken a participation in the issue, it seems that almost everywhere I turn, and almost everything I see, hear and read makes me think of what must happen if our individual productivity and collectively is to significantly increase.
However, if there is a fly in the ointment is that the solution to the quest for productivity differs from each of us depending on many variables. Thus, instead of claiming to have discovered a simple one size fits all magic formula that suggests that the solution to the problem requires each of us answer the following questions. In this way our individual responses can guide our own solutions to end the game. Let's start with:
1. Where does my time? [Spend a couple of weeks any advertising you do as good estimates of the amount of time spent on each activity.]
2. What are the sources of interruptions in my day? [How much time is spent Under the interruptions?]
3. How often do you try to multi-task or jump from one project to another and back to the first? [So what prompted these sudden changes? At any time we try to juggle more than three or four tasks while we are certain to be ineffective at all. In addition, some studies show that changing back and forth between tasks can add up to thirty percent or more the time required to complete both.]
4. What are the most important things for me? [Rank each of the duties and obligations in order importance or impact on the business of ___________ (, organization, family, etc.) Note: There should be many links here.]
5. Why I do it? [If you have no valid answer to this question then there is another set of questions you should put someone else.]
6. What is the source (how they see me)?
7. Where Does it go once it leaves my hands (in need)?
8. What tasks can I manage instead of making (delegated to others)?
9. What tasks can be simplified?
10. What elements of the work do I like? [This will "fit".]
11. What items can I put the play-off? [This will also "fit".]
12. What tasks can be minimized?
13. What tasks can be eliminated? [This may be up to one fifth to one third of the things on our lists individual things to do. And everything tends to be at the bottom of the list when ranked by priority.]
This latter issue is important because not everything that you or I do has productive value. In fact, some might suggest that 80% of our products are produced in only 20% of our days. If that relationship is even partially accurate, then there is a good deal of time and activity is lost and can therefore be captured and better use higher.
But as I said, this is not a magic bullet. Moreover, you will have to invest some significant time in the process, if you're serious about gain valuable time and increase productivity. The good news is that if you want to answer this baker's dozen fairly well I can assure you that they were very satisfied returns.
