home office chairs for wood floors

We have just installed laminate wood floors … Can we have a leather office chair that rolls directly into it?

We have these plants in our home office. We had carpet in there and had one of those thick plastic mats on the carpet for what might actually roll the chair over the carpet. This particular rug has hard plastic plugs covering the back so dig into the carpet and stay. Obviously, it can be used where new flats. My question … are the wheels of the office chair of the damage the new floor? Should I write something to protect them? If so, make a mat with NO rates exchange established on the back … a fact especially for wood floors?
